Like many of you, I love the symbolism of Dec. 31st….the reflection, the hope, the fresh start we all choose to believe in together. It’s a beautiful cultural heartbeat.

My research heart, though, knows the body’s ancient rhythm aligns more with spring. That’s when nature (and our own nature) is wired for new beginnings.

So I’m holding both truths: joyfully toasting with you tonight and giving my body permission to stay in winter mode. No forcing. Just... gentle dreaming.

If you’re feeling the strain of “new year, new you” resolutions, consider this your permission slip: true transformation needs light and warmth. For now, rest is resistance. Hibernation is preparation.

I’ll see you in the spring. For now, I’m nourishing the roots.
